Like the JOOLA Perseus, the 1X Power Series uses a raw, unpainted T700 carbon face, trading the painted graphics most recreational paddles use for the added spin an exposed, textured carbon weave generates on contact. Where it differs meaningfully is the elongated shape — the same reach-for-sweet-spot tradeoff as the Selkirk Vanguard above, giving doubles players extra coverage at the net at the cost of a smaller, less forgiving hitting zone.
The genuinely useful part of CRBN's lineup here is the core choice: the same paddle is sold in both 14mm and 16mm thicknesses, letting a buyer pick their tradeoff directly rather than having it decided for them. The 14mm version leans toward the livelier, more powerful feel of a thinner core (similar in spirit to the Vanguard's 13mm); the 16mm version leans toward the longer dwell time and control of a thicker core, closer to the JOOLA Perseus. That's a genuinely different decision structure than most single-thickness paddles on this site.
